For the third year in a row, Bournemouth Coastal BID will be bringing Christmas to the doorstep of businesses and residents in Westbourne, with the Highstreet’s festoon light display making a return.
The arcade will be enveloped in the warm colours of Christmas, bringing that cosy atmosphere to shoppers, whether they’re looking for a coffee, a bite to eat, some new clothes to wrap up warm this winter season, or just to browse the various quirks of Westbourne’s independent businesses and but some unique gifts for loved ones.
The area will be dotted with miniature Christmas trees and fairy lights, along with a gorgeous Christmas trees, supplied by Warren and the Hare in partnership with Pines and Needles, who also supply the Christmas trees for Covent Garden, so you can expect the beauty and feel of the famous London Christmas market to be brought to Westbourne for all to enjoy.
The lights this year have been secured from the BCP Council in partnership with the Coastal BID, who worked with traders throughout Westbourne who donated extra funding to ensure their installation and make certain that the Christmas spirit could be to the highest possible standard for everyone visiting, and living in Westbourne.
In addition to this, The Westbourne Business Association and BCB are matching money raised by the wonderful traders of Westbourne to ensure that Westbourne, can and will continue to sparkle this festive season, with many thanks to the work of the WBA, the Westbourne Rotary Club and all of Westbourne’s businesses for making Westbourne a special destination this Christmas.
Be sure not to miss the Christmas tree light switch by Harry Redkanpp, the Mayor and Santa who is being flown in by Ete Westbourne.
The Funky Little choir will be performing some festive Carols on the Saturday 29th November alongside the light switch on and we are encouraging all to join in and wear a festive hat!

Don’t forget our Next event on 6th December brought to you by The Westbourne Rotary club to help raise money for Hope for food. Santa will arrive at 10am on a fire truck at the Arcade and there will be singing all day and Donkeys on the Westbourne M&S Green.
The Bournemouth Goats will also be making an appearance on Saturday 20th December so come and say hello to our favourite one.
